Lake Como has a rustic charm, you can spend hours relaxing and enjoying those breath-taking views, take a dip in the lake, walk along the historical mule tracks, visit ancient villas with beautiful gardens or the more energetic ones among you, there are many watersports.

Como
Cathedral- this large cathedral is found in the centre of the historical centre
Funicular railway- This takes you up to the top of the mountain where you get stunning lake views, there are many footpaths that can be taken from there.

Bellagio– this is a lovely village, you should definitely see it
Villa Melzi- a villa with gardens within walking distance from the ferry port in Bellagio
Wandering- it’s a pretty town which you can wander around looking in the shops, there are also lots of footpaths, watch out for white and red footpath signs
Cookery classes- you can take Italian cookery classes
Wine bar- a sweet little wine bar, you can do wine tasting there. On the little alley just across from the ferry boat port.
Lido di Bellagio- In the day it is a Lido where you can swim in the lake and relax, it becomes a club at night
Around Bellagio
Jungle Raider Park – Above Bellagio an adventure park called Jungle Raider with ziplining and activity pursuits. The location is called Piano Rancio and it overlooks Civenna, near Bellagio.
Lenno
Lido Di Lenno – During the day it has a sun beds, a sandy artificial beach, and a great lakeside cafe. In the evening, it turns in to a good restaurant.
Villa Balbianello – A famous villa that starred in films such as star wars. You can walk or take a boat from Lido di Lenno. If you have a UK National Trust card you get a discount. Closed Monday and Wednesday.
Icecream shop- there is a really good ice-cream shop in Lenno
Cadenabbia/ Tremezzo
Villa Carlotta- a large villa with gardens on the lake font, with it’s own boat port
Cheese and Wine Cellar- a little cellar where they do wine and cheese tasting
Infinity Pool- In Cadenabbia with fabulous views across the lake and a café, there are often reductions on groupon
Greenwalk- a walk that runs along the lake from Cadenabbia to Colonno, about 10kms in total but you don’t have to do it all.
Menaggio
Lido Di Menaggio – The Lido di Menaggio is positioned right on the lake and has two swimming pools (including one for toddlers), a sandy beach, three restaurants, kids activities, volley ball, and its own brewery. A 15 minute walk from the ferry port along the lake
Crazy golf – Menaggio
The 18-hole crazy golf course is next to the Red Bay restaurant on the shores of Lake Como in Menaggio and is just two minutes from the Lido Di Menaggio, and a five minute walk from the piazza in the centre of Menaggio along the promenade.
Boat Hire- along the lake front you can find several places where you can hire kayaks and little speed boats
Mennagio & Cadenabbia Golf Club- 18 hole golf club in the hills above Menaggio
Little Train- there is a little ‘train’ which you can take that travels along the road between Menaggio & Lenno
Varenna
Villa Monastero – A villa with gardens on the lake
Hire Kayaks- €10 per hour, from outside the cafes in Varenna
Vezio Castle
You can visit the tower and vaults that date back to medieval times, it’s small but has great views across the lake, It is a bird breeding centre and they have falconry flights daily (depending on weather conditions) There are footpaths from Varenna (steep), Fiume Latte (steep) & Perledo,
